LIVING AQUAPONICS TRAINING

LIVING AQUAPONICS TRAINING

This series of 13 short videos shows how an aquaponics farmer produces 500 to 800 pounds of lettuce per week on one third of an acre near Kona, Hawaii. From a general overview of what aquaponics is, to the specifics of water flow and air supply, these videos are useful and informative for anyone interested in this natural method of food production.

The series includes a 27 minute documentary entitled Living Aquaponics, featuring Zac Hosler, who gave up a successful business in California and made a complete lifestyle change for himself and his family. He started thinking about growing food and decided to become a farmer. He had heard of hydroponics, but aquaponics was new to him. He made an assumption that farming in Hawaii would be easy. And then the unthinkable happened...

Can a small farmer like Zac make it in America?
